Full Circle
Full Circle is Canberra's most exciting Celtic-Australian folk band
Formed in 1996, Full Circle won the Band section of the Canberra Irish club "Great Irish Music Competition" in 2000. The band is equally at home playing haunting airs on the Hardanger fiddle or playing full-on 'wall-of-death' Irish reels!
In Nov/Dec 2004 Full Circle made its debut international tour, to Beijing in the People's Republic of China where they played to sell-out audiences. The band played a series of live performances - including at the Great Wall Sheraton - and appeared on Radio Beijing.
Jerry (fiddles, bodhran) and Butch (guitars) are former members of Western Australia's chart busting Mucky Duck, while Bruce the bass player is one of the best from Adelaide (Jerry's old stomping ground)

The band's extensive experience shows in their polished and vibrant performance style.
Their sessions have been described as nothing less than an 'X-treme Celtic Music workout!' (National Folk Festival, Canberra Australia, 2003)

11 September - The Kangaroo Valley Festival was fabulous! Great sessions, great concerts and of course Full Circle live in action Saturday and Sunday - watch out for the photos - coming soon! This is a great new festival and we are proud to be among the inaugural acts. It is only going to get bigger and better - see you there next year (even a little rain couldn't dampen the spirits) :-)

Major's Creek Folk Festival was a blast! Two shows with Will-o'-the-Wisp Fire Circus and some great sessions at the Coopers Ale tent :-)
Starting November 6 We're trying something new - a regular monthly Sunday Session at the Wanniassa Tavern in Canberra - a dynamic new show with special guest Irish dancers
October 21-23 Catch us at the Coastfest folk festival at Gosford NSW - at the Showground. We have a couple of concert spots and a fiddle workshop - should be great fun - see you there! And if you don't catch a concert - why not have a jam with us at the Session bar!
October 15 2005 Playing at the Burns Club in Kambah, Canberra. Yup we went over very well - the show was a fund raiser to help send the Queanbeyan Pipe Band to Edinburgh next year for the World Piping Championships.
June 10-13 2005 National Celtic Festival - What a great festival! We performed daily with Will-o'-the-Wisp fire circus in a series of spectacular shows - matched only by the great sessions at the grand Hotel - See photos in the recent shows link :-) We have a burning desire to get back there next year!
May 1 2005- Collector Pumpkin Festival - a real delight! The crowd was great - it was wonderful to see a local comunity come together in this way in the tradition of European harvest festivals across the world. See our photos via the recent shows link.
April 28 2005 - Played at the Pot Belly in Weedon Close, Belconnen, Canberra - What a great night: good crowd and great atmosphere - the best muso's night in Canberra!
April 9 2005 - confirmed booking for the Collector Pumpkin Festival for 1 May - should be a blast!
Mar 30 2005 - National Folk Festival - Non-stop sessioning :-) We played a great concert spot with the renowned Billy Moran; Accompanied Will-o'-the-Wisp street performers (they were on stilts and in costume); hosted an 'anti-session' - no frowns allowed, bodhrans and squeeze-boxes welcome and we got up to all kinds of antics - random stand-ups, musical chairs and everyone had the best time! We got loads of greasy looks from the serious folkies, and everyone reckoned it was one of the best festival sessions in years! Had a great session with fiddle player Jane Brownlea and another with a fellow hardanger fiddle player! I'll get some photos up soon.
Mar 18 2005 - What a great day yesterday! We played for the Irish dancers at PJ O'Reilly's and had a great time both there and at the equally packed Filthy McFadden's pub. Exhausted now after six hours of playing and a lightning fast pull-down and set up of the sound gear. The wireless mikes are so good to use!
